WHO WE ARE

A passionate group of problems solvers that knows how to convert unique ideas into industry focused business solutions.

Our Story

The first project was to create a document management application for the auto retail industry. The three IT specialists made sure they carefully understood the client’s requirements. Specific technology was built as a solution to address the problems, and the project proved to be a great success. These guys knew they had something special and, hence, eGravity was born.

The company has extensive experience in managing and developing projects, leading teams, and writing amazing software. Each IT specialist intuitively understands the process that goes into building a team and delivering a successful product. Collectively, the team members embrace teaching others and helping to grow the local technology community.

In 2015, eGravity created REO Toolbox, a custom IT application designed for the real estate industry. REO Toolbox allows management companies to track properties through the foreclosure process. This product lets banks, property managers, and vendors come together as a team to complete the REO process.

After we got a few successful projects under our belts, it was not long before we realized we had a niche in the insurance industry. While this industry hasn’t always been known as a leader in the tech space, it’s certainly becoming one. Technology has and will continue to transform insurance, making all sides of the business more streamlined and efficient. On top of that, it helps insurers connect to their policyholders in the way they have come to not only desire but expect.

What's in a name?

The name eGravity came about as a way to explain what the software does for you, the end user: it brings seemingly difficult tasks - down to earth. The logo needed to build on this idea, it needed to say eGravity is a software company - for the everyday person or business.

So it starts with a story, a simple story of gravity.

Newton's Apple. The apple is accelerated, since its velocity changes from zero as it is hanging on the tree and moves toward the ground. Thus, by Newton's 2nd Law there must be a force that acts on the apple to cause this acceleration. Let's call this force "gravity", and the associated acceleration the "acceleration due to gravity". Then imagine the apple tree is twice as high. Again, we expect the apple to be accelerated toward the ground, so this suggests that this force that we call gravity reaches to the top of the tallest apple tree.

From that point on things fell into place, the need to incorporate the image of an apple, yet maintain the identity as a software company - the birth of the coded apple. The rest speaks for itself.
